Who is responsible for your information

Lannex is the data controller for information collected through this website. If you have a question about anything on this page, email hello@lannex.uk.

What we collect, and when

When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, company name and whatever you write in the message box. We collect it so we can reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, quote for the work. In data protection terms the lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked us to get in touch.

We do not collect anything else. There is no analytics on this site, no advertising or social tracking pixels, and no embedded third-party content. The link to our Instagram is an ordinary link — nothing loads from Instagram unless you click it.

Where your message goes

The form does not save anything to a database. Your message is turned into an email and delivered to our inbox. Two providers are involved in that journey: Cloudflare, which hosts this website and sends the email, and Microsoft, which provides the mailbox it arrives in. Both act as processors on our behalf.

Cloudflare also processes standard technical records as part of serving and protecting the site — including IP addresses — in the same way any web host does. We do not use those records to identify or profile visitors. We keep brief technical logs of errors so we can tell when the form has failed to send.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails stay in our inbox while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. If you become a client we keep what we need for the work and for our accounting records. Ask us to delete your enquiry and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. If you use the light and dark theme switch, your choice is saved in your own browser using local storage so the site remembers it next time. That value never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Because nothing here tracks you, there is no consent banner to click through.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@lannex.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, the UK's data protection regulator. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this notice

If we change how the site handles information, we change this page at the same time. It describes what the site does today, not what we intend to do.
