Web design

Websites that bring you work.

Most micro-business websites are a brochure nobody reads. We build the one that answers the questions your customers actually ask, loads before they lose patience, and that you can change yourself on a Tuesday night.

What you get

Built around your enquiries

We start from the questions you get asked on the phone all day. Those become the pages, in that order — not a template with an "About Us" carousel at the top.

Fast on a phone, on mobile data

Most of your visitors are on a phone, often on a bad signal. Pages are built to appear in under a second on a mid-range Android, not just on the office fibre.

Yours to edit

Prices, opening hours, photos, a new service. Things that change should never require an email to your web person and a three-day wait.

Set up to be found

Clean page structure, correct headings, sensible URLs, a sitemap and the technical groundwork search engines need — done once, done properly.

Enquiries that reach you

A contact form that actually delivers, goes to an inbox you read, and tells the visitor honestly if it ever fails instead of pretending it sent.

Yours, not rented

The domain stays in your name and you keep the site. No platform lock-in, no monthly fee to keep your own pages online.

How a build runs

  1. 01

    A call

Thirty minutes on what the business does, who buys from you and what you want the site to bring in. No charge, and no obligation at the end of it.

  2. 02

    A fixed price

We come back with what we would build, what it costs and how long it takes. One number, agreed before anything starts.

  3. 03

    The build

You see it as it goes up, on a real link you can open on your phone and send to whoever else needs a say.

  4. 04

    Launch and hand over

We put it live, connect the domain, and show you how to change the things you will want to change. Then it is yours.

Questions we get asked

How much does a website cost?

It depends on how many pages there are and whether anything has to be built rather than written. We quote a fixed price before starting, so there is no meter running. If the budget does not fit the job we will say so on the first call rather than quietly cutting corners.

How long does it take?

A straightforward site is usually two to four weeks from the go-ahead. The part that slows projects down is almost always content — photos, prices, the wording for each page. Have that ready and it moves quickly.

Can I edit it myself afterwards?

Yes. Changing prices, opening hours, photos and text is the sort of thing you should never have to email anyone about. We set that up and show you how before handing over.

Do I own the site?

Yes. The domain stays in your name, and you keep the site and its content. You are not renting it from us and you are not locked in.

What about hosting and the domain?

We set both up and can manage them, or hand you the keys to run yourself. Either way you own the domain. Hosting for a site this size costs very little, and we will tell you what it actually is rather than marking it up.

Will it be found on Google?

We build the technical side properly — fast pages, clean structure, correct headings, a sitemap, and a page for each thing you sell. That is the groundwork. Ranking for competitive terms also takes a Google Business Profile, reviews and time, and we will be straight with you about which of those matter for your trade.

Tell us what the site needs to do.

Send over what you are trying to sell and who to. We will come back with what we would build and what it costs — and tell you if a website is not the thing that will move the needle.
